ポーランドの都市、ヴロツワフをベースに活動しているプロデューサー/DJ。Red Bull Music Academy卒業生でもある彼のサウンドは、デトロイト・サウンドのグルーヴに、ディスコ・ハウスや、テクノ、そして自分のガイダンスとも仰ぐサン・ラを経由したフリージャズ、時折り差し込まれるPファンクのシンセやアフロビートなどの要素が絶妙にブレンドされ共存している。これまでに4枚の12インチ「Solar Empire EP (Transatlantyk)」, 「Baltic Rim EP (OMENA)」, 「Palm Trees Love EP (Studio Barnhus)」、「Enter the Dagon Father & Son Records And Tapes)」をリリース。
そしてレーベル「Transatlantyk」より、待望のデビュー・アルバム「7th Expedition」がまもなくリリースされる。
彼のDJセットはソウルフルで自由度の高いハウスをプレイするが、
ライブではよりエモーショナルで実験的な音像を描き、抽象的なサンプル音＋ダーティドラムといった個性的な展開を作る。
オリジナリティーと、アートならではの冒険的な要素、そして音楽としてダンスミュージックをリスペクトすること、それらが今の彼にとってのダンスシーンでの指標（ビーコン）である。

Naphta is a producer/DJ based in Wroclaw, Poland. Red Bull Music Academy alumni blends grooves from Detroit, slickness of disco oriented house/techno music and free jazz creativity (with Sun Ra as his guide), with p-funk synths and afrobeat thrown in for a good measure. He released string of 12”: “Solar Empire EP” on Transatlantyk, “Baltic Rim EP” on OMENA, “Palm Trees Love EP” on Studio Barnhus and “Enter the Dagon” on Father & Son Records And Tapes. His debut album, “7th Expedition” conceived with the help from musicians from all over the world, will drop soon via Transatlantyk. His (dj set)s are eclectic and soulful, with variety of house iterations involved, his live show, constructed around obscure samples and dirty drums, is adventurous and passionate. Originality, artisti3c bravery and respect for musicality of dance music are his beacons in today’s dance scene, dominated by generic and uninspired sounds.
