Gameplay of Geometry Dash

10-25% (Vermillion): The triple-speed ship sequence requires manoeuvre flying. The gravity varies quickly, with a slope at the end that the player must fly towards and against to reach an open area with Vermillion's signature. The half-speed ball following the ship sequence requires perfect timing; each strike represents a note from the music. Each platform the ball falls on is chained and constructed of red bricks at the corners and black blocks with two lines in the center. Extra spikes make the segment considerably more difficult, while hexagons embellish the platforms. A mirror portal switches the screen while the player is still playing, leaving no time to adjust to the opposite direction. Following the mirrored portion, which is designed similarly to the previous one, the ball is forced into a line of gravity portals as the music crescendos and the notes grow in pitch.

25-33% (Michigun): The music slows down from its frenzied, quick speed and transitions to its native key (C minor). The level reflects that. The pace returns to normal, and the color palette goes to gray. The strong flashing ends. A unique cube sequence with triple spikes and a gravity shift happens. Flickering candles may be seen in the backdrop, as well as thorns on the ground and chains supporting the platforms. A one-block space narrow ship sequence begins immediately after the previous triple spike. Spikes cover both the ground and the top. The spacecraft is followed by a ball sequence identical to the cube before it. The ball will flip through a few one-block areas comprised of two spikes before reaching the top and bottom platforms. backdrop. At the conclusion of the auto portion, the player experiences a split-second of half-speed before returning to triple-speewhen everything is dark except for the tunnel where the player's spacecraft is located. A meme about dying at 79% circulated across the community.

80-88% (Havok): A ball segment appears with the same design and blocks as Vermillion's ball portion, but this time with orbs inside and outside the blocks. A mini-portal and a half-speed portal make games more challenging by requiring clever timing and undetectable platforms to land. After a second, the action accelerates to treble speed, and the player must smash four blue orbs as the hallmark 'HAVOK' appears, signaling that this is his portion. An easier UFO portion follows, with a fast change in speed and gravity. Sawblades, not gears, are held onto the blocks as barriers for the UFO. Arrows direct the player to the correct route, while the backdrop pulses to the music. The following is a half-speed regular wave. The player must navigate a one-block straight wave, altering heights as needed, similar to Acropolis' final wave phase. The backdrop pulses a brighter red once to the rhythm of the song, just before the following section.

88-93% (Giron): Giron's segment begins with his distinctive 'G' appearing just before his gaming begins. It begins with a challenging triple-speed, upside-down ship scene. The player must strike orbs, and the flight is chaotic, with just 1.5 blocks of space available. At the end of the section, a long 1.5-block-straight-fly at normal-size looks to pose a danger to the player if straight-flying competence is weak. The next section is a half-speed dual with one standard-sized cube and one mini-cube. To avoid jumping with the top cube, the player must hit successive orbs, including the blue one, very softly. If passed, the word 'GIRON' will appear brighter than the other blocks, with chains linking it to the blocks and the floor. A tiny non-dual auto, lasting around two-fifths of a second, concludes the segment and transports the player to the last portion of the level.

93-98% (Ggb0y): The player then enters a challenging half-speed ball phase, comparable to the one in the middle of Cataclysm. Red blocks with chains within act as platforms, with the words 'your blood' fading into view. Following a blue orb that requires exact timing, comes a one-second UFO with a single leap and a blue orb. It results in a narrow, short, upside-down straight-fly capable of causing a very frustrating death. The ship sequence is in the same manner as the ball that follows it. Timing is once again a key consideration. The last ball part includes multiple false blocks placed up as a last-ditch attempt to induce the player to fail. The name 'GBOY', formed of bricks, appears at the very end of the ceiling section.

98-100% (Riot): The last notes have a normal-speed semi-auto cube portion with 'GG' written above and 'RIOT' beneath. The player must leap over one more set of 'invisible' triple spikes, or else he will fail at 98% or 99%, which is incredibly frustrating and disheartening. A different way the player may take is to make a precise leap at the conclusion of Ggb0y's segment (just after the blue pad), landing on top of the 'GG' message, which contains Michigun's name as an Easter egg. Following that, the level concludes with a single heart ornament floating in the air over the last leap.
