イタリアのエクスペリメンタル・テクノの名門Morphine RecordsからRabih Beainiが来日。
東京の実験音楽の中心地であるFORESTLIMITにてChloé Juliette主催のManifoldの第一回目を飾る。Morphine RecordsはCharles Cohenの復刻シリーズを始めとし、Hieroglyphic BeingやMadteo、ContainerやSenyawaのリリースで知られている。
レーベルオーナーであり、20年以上DJとして活躍するレバノン出身のRabih Beaini (旧Morphosis)と初来日のRinse RadioのレジデントMarylouが4月で9周年を迎えるFORESTLIMITに参上する。
比類なきイタリアン鬼才のDonato Dozzyともコラボレーションを果たしたRabihは8年ぶりの来日となり、今回Manifoldでは、エクスクルーシブなLIVE SETを披露する。
サポートメンバーとして、東京を中心にエレクトリックやエクスペリメンタルの作曲、プロデュース、DJとして活動中で、アナログシンセのメーカーでも知られているBob Rogueのライブセットや、東京各所でハウスからテクノ、エクスペリメンタルまで幅広いパーティーで活躍するフランス人DJのChloé Juliette、FORESTLIMITでレギュラーのディープリスニングパーティーを主催するPsychonautが参加する。
実験音楽を介して日本と世界とが融合する本パーティにて普段見にすることのできないハプニングに期待。
Producer, DJ and the owner of Morphine Records, Rabih Beaini returns to Japan for an exclusive live set for the first edition of Manifold at FORESTLIMIT. Born in Lebanon, Rabih moved to Italy in the 90s and now resides in Berlin. Having collaborated with leading light of hypnotic techno Donato Dozzy among others, Rabih (formerly known as Morphosis) is well-known for transcending the boundaries of club music, both in his own work and the curation of his label. While his productions oscillate between raw, elementary electronica and jazz, his label Morphine Records has released an equally avant-garde selection of techno from the likes of Madteo, Hieroglyphic Being, Container, experimental music from Javanese band Senyawa as well as highly-praised reissues from US modular synthesizer pioneer Charles Cohen.
Support lineup includes Rinse Radio resident Marylou, whose style joins the dots between improvised electronics, dub, library, noise and pulsing dance music, Tokyo based electronic/experimental composer and analogue synthesizer wizard Bob Rogue will perform a rare live set and the organizer, French-born Chloé Juliette, local DJ respected for her leftfield selections ranging from abstract techno to dub and proto-house will complete the night with Psychonaut, organizer at FORESTLIMIT of a deep-listening party called Satori.
